Day 13

Not far to travel today, last night we had a good nights sleep and today we only have about 280km to travel, for those of you that don’t know we are meeting up with Lorna’s parents on the evening of the 18th at Calgary so we cant go any further than Calgary, so we decided to stop at Medicine hat and then maybe Lethbridge but after we got to Medicine Hat we decided to stay for 2 nights here and then drive the short distance to Calgary on the 18th and check into the hotel and wait for their plane to land before we pick them up. Medicine Hat looks like it has quite a bit to offer so we thought with all the luck we have had recently we would not risk going to Lethbridge and stay here instead. We did stop off en-route at Maple Creek just in case it had something to offer but as usual it did not.
We arrived in Medicine hat at around lunch time so decided to eat first before finding a hotel, we stopped at “Earls” which is fast becoming one of our best places to eat and drink. After that we played the usual game of parking outside one of the hotels and pinching their internet to get onto Expedia and then see which hotel/motel was the best price, on more that one occasion Lorna has gone into the hotel whilst I am outside checking the same hotels prices on last minute websites and then booking them online and then going into the hotel a minute later and saying we have a reservation despite Lorna having just asked their best prices, it does make us laugh as we are using their internet to do it.

Lorna was pleased there is a shopping Mall here so she went off shopping whilst I caught up on this site oh and had a little nap.
Not a lot so far to show for today but maybe later when we go out for dinner and a look around town, we are going to be here all day tomorrow so I am sure we will find things of interest to do and put up here.
